Advent
in England!
Hallo
..As
time goes by.. 3 more days and it’s already Felix’ 1st
UK-anniversary. It’s unbelievable how quickly time has passed by.
Summer is over, the guests are gone and we experience a brand new way of
spending our weekends calm and peacefully..! Just as a normal
every-day-couple with shopping, cleaning, washing and finally updating
our homepage :o).
Since
our last update in June we’ve been collecting thousands of digital
photos..:
London
from the air
,
some
from our old home town Ettlingen
, more Kingswood Cottage
&
Wargrave pictures
,
a
day out with Marianne & Peter in Bath and Bournemouth
, BBQ with Jon
& Rachel
, Royal Henley Regatta with the
Hamburgers
,
Sandra &
Matthias’ wedding in Obergrombach in July
,
our Sailing weekend in the Solent with the Wargrave Adventurer
Club
, our Company
Meeting in
Ascot
,
Maike and Alexander's wedding in Bretten (..no photos yet..wrong PC -
sorry!), Birgit and Steffi spent a
weekend at 35 degree Celsius with us
, then Mathias and Natasa came over
for one (rather rainy) golf-week
.
(aechz, verschnauf!). No, not yet finished ..
it was a very, very busy summer! End of August I spent another day on a
sailing boat in the Solent (FI team event)
and September 1st
we celebrated (no - the ENGLISH celebrated in OUR house) the 5:1.
The
weekend after we spent a night in our tent in the New Forest (first icy
night!)
and the best part of the summer of course was our week holiday
in Scotland with Matthias & Sandra!
Our last guests so far were the
famous Senger Sisters (chickens) in October (probably THE event in
autumn!).
Not to
forget: my weekly recurring “date” with my
favourite Ex-colleague Alex – die Legende – Leckbandt! Since
September he’s been on a project in London, just an hour from us, so I spend
a weekly night out in London’s Pizzerias, Take-Aways and IKEA and get
freshly delivered German products like contact lenses, Knuspermuesli and
Fruehlingssuppen!
Now
that the days are becoming shorter again and jogging in absolute
darkness isn’t that much fun we decided to spend the winter in a nice
fitness club just around the corner..! Body Combat lessons
every Saturday followed by Swimming & Sauna might help to get us
back (??) in shape for the next summer ;o)
..And
what’s next..? No real planning, just working & relaxing to be
honest! Our next visit in Germany is planned for Christmas. We can’t await our first glass of Gluehwein at the Karlsruher Weihnachtsmarkt!
And we are looking very much forward to seeing our friends from Germany
(and the two French of course!!) again – and of course our family
Please
don't forget so sign our guestbook!!
Hope
to see you again soon
Sabine
& Felix
