Last update: 19.06.03 Want to visit us?? Here is some useful information about airports, train tickets, car rental and all other important things to know.. Where we live: 2 Kingswood Cottages Tag Lane Hare Hatch Wargrave Berkshire RG10 9SX United Kingdom
Find us on the map with www.multimap.com, enter our postcode RG10 9ST in the search field.
We live 30 miles west of London-Heathrow Airport, i.e. about 45 miles west of the London City Centre.
The next two villages are Wargrave, a pittoresque old english village on the borders of the river Thames and Hare Hatch, a group of about 10 houses and no real centre (at least we haven't found it yet). The Kingswood Cottages (the English like for some reasons to give there houses important sounding names..) is somewhere in between Hare Hatch and Wargave out in the country!
The next bigger towns are Reading and Maidenhead, not really exiting, but quite nice for shopping, cinemas and food..!

How to get from us into central London:
The easiest way to travel to London is by train. The next train station is in Twyford, which is about 3 miles away from where we live. There's a train almost every 30 minutes directly to Paddington Station. The trip takes about 45 minutes. The only thing about it is the price: it varies between 4 to 16 pounds for a return trip. There is no official price list available, but we believe the pricing is dependent on the following:
Timetables on the net: www.rail.co.uk
The only problem is that you cannot walk from us to the train station in Twyford. Oh, of course you could but it takes about 45 minutes..! There is no bus and I don't know how much a taxi would cost. No problem at the weekends, we can drive you. No problem in during the week: we can drive you in the early morning but it will cost the high price then for the train since it would be before 9:30 a.m.
The other option is - if we work in the SAP office - to drive with us to heathrow airport and take the tube (Underground) into central London. Only problem: we normally don't work in the office since we are on customer site. But this can change .. dependent on when you come. So check again!!
What to see in the area EXCEPT London:
Unbelievable - but there is more! Some nice places to visit:
